The short version: there are no accounts, we do not sell your information, and we do not run ads or advertising trackers. Here is the detail.

What we collect

• What you type. Your messages are used to answer you. We also save the questions you type to improve the service. Before saving, we remove email addresses and phone numbers, and we do not attach your name.
• Your search details. Your ZIP code, distance, and preferences (such as make, model, and price range) are used to find nearby vehicles. They are sent to our vehicle listing provider to run the search.
• Anonymous usage. We count simple things such as page views, which tab was used, and button clicks, so we know what helps. This does not use cookies or advertising trackers.
• A scrambled network address. We turn your network (IP) address into a scrambled code, called a hash, to enforce daily limits and stop abuse. It cannot be turned back into your address, and we do not keep the address itself.
• Payments. If you buy a pass, Stripe collects your payment details and handles sales tax. We never see your card number. We receive confirmation that the payment went through.

Your browser

Your browser stores a few things on your own device: your current conversation, so it is there if you refresh, and your 24-hour pass if you bought one. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Who helps us run the service

• Google hosts the site and the database, and its AI models write the answers. Some answers use Google Search to find sources.
• Auto.dev provides the vehicle listings we search.
• Stripe processes payments.

These providers handle information only to provide their services to us, under their own privacy terms.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not show ads or share your searches with dealers.
• We do not ask for your name, account numbers, or Social Security number.

Your choices

Because we do not link what you type to your name, we usually cannot tell which saved questions are yours. If you bought a pass and want help, or you have a question about your information, email info@stargydeauto.com and we will help.

Age

Stargyde Auto is meant for adults, 18 or older, and is not directed to children.
